Last weekend I won the award for the BEST and Coolest Mom onthe planet. Why, you may ask?
I was ableto score tickets to Phineas and Ferb: theBest Live Tour Ever which took place in Auburn Hills, MI. Like most parentswith kids between the ages of 5 and 10-years of age, you are more than likelyfamiliar with the Disney TV show. Initially, when I asked my boys if they wereinterested in seeing the Phineas and Ferb show my question was met with aresounding and unanimous YES! However, their excitement was nothing compared tothe real excitement the day of the show as we walked into the venue. I waspleasantly surprised by the overall production and energy of the show. Disneydefinitely did their homework, making sure the pace was upbeat and engaging. Idefinitely give the creators and writers of this show kudos! They were able tokeep the kids and adults easilyentertained with great songs, comical moments, and overall colorfulcreativity.  Being a parent we strivehard to be careful of how much exposure our little ones soak up, and Iappreciate Disney keeping the scripts, songs, and visuals on a level that wasfamily friendly.

The plot of the story matched the Phineas and Ferb TV show. Two Step-brothers, who are always up for a new adventure by turning theirdreams into reality. Candace, their sister is always trying to thwart theirplans, “Mom Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence”, but the boys arealways able to make the evidence disappear before Mom shows up.  In Phineasand Ferb: the Best Live Tour, Phineas and Ferb find a way out of theirworld and into ours, and decide to put on the best live show ever for theaudience in front of them. They end up building an idea mash-up machine tocombine all the different ideas about what the show should be about!

It was so nice hearing and watching, not only my boys, butalso the rest of the children in attendance, as they interacted eagerly with thecolorful characters. But the highlight of the show was without a doubt Perrythe Platypus! The crowd went all kinds of nuts for Perry! There was a reallycool scene between Perry and the villain, Dr. Doffenschmirtz. The scene moveseffortlessly from live action to having one or both characters on the videoscreen and back to live action. And Star Wars music to the mix, and you had oneWOWED crowd! I think my favorite moment was being able to sing the theme songwith my 7 year old. Last year as he was counting down to summer vacation, wesang it every day! On the last day of school, the first thing I said when Ipicked him up from school was singing, “It’s a hundred and four days of summervacation and school comes along just to end it…….” All and all it was nothingshort of good wholesome family entertainment and I am highly recommending the Phineas and Ferb: the Best Live Tourshow to anyone who is looking for something special to do with their kids. Weare big fans of Disney and this show did not disappoint. Thank you Disney foranother magical adventure! I would also like to thank Amber Louchart, owner ofMetro Detroit Mommy for making this opportunity possible!
